A blessing ceremony of prayers, and songs to dedicate the land where the San Angelo NAACP Buffalo Soldier Memorial will be built. In the tradition of the Black family, Negro Spirituals will be performed by the Houston Ebony Opera Guild and various ministers from the San Angelo clergy will offer blessings and prayers. Special dedications will be made to critical members of the Team.
A wonderful time to celebrate the lives of those courageous men and women who were a part of the Buffalo Soldiers and who helped create and define Black life in San Angelo, TX.
