Every spring at Be Theatre, the Literature Alive Project brings classic literature to life through FREE public performances. We take a beloved children’s book, turn it into a play, and present it for FREE for Concho Valley kiddos! After the show, every child leaves the theatre with a new book and inspiration from the magical show they’ve just experienced! Over the past 12 years, more than 13,000 people have attended our Literature Alive productions, and we’ve distributed 9,400 free books to early readers.

For our 13th anniversary of Literature Alive, we are putting on Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical! Knuffle Bunny is a charming book about a toddler named Trixie who loses her favorite toy bunny, but is so young she’s not speaking yet so she can’t tell her dad what happened.

Friday, April 12th: 5:30pm & 7pm
