Robert Phillips, the classical guitarist, makes a point of including in his concerts the standard classical guitar pieces that audiences never grow tired of. He is also passionate about exposing as many people as possible to new experiences. Robert’s expansive approach to programming and his exciting new pieces will move audiences in unexpected ways. Robert is as comfortable improvising on a Bossa Nova as he is performing a Bach fugue. His concerts are a journey of discovery, uncovering unexpected music, and presenting new repertoire often newly composed for him.

SAN ANGELO CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES features concerts by outstanding musicians from across Texas and the United States and regularly draws patrons from every segment of the community with both traditional chamber musicians and more broadly based contemporary or ethnic music groups. Light refreshments are provided at the concerts. Ensembles perform in an intimate and acoustically wonderful space with all concerts starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Art Museum.
