Deep in the Art of Texas Art Show
at Raw 1899 Gallery opens July 18
San Angelo, Texas: Raw 1899, West Texas’ premier art lounge located in historic downtown San Angelo, will present Deep in the Art of Texas Art Show and Sale July 18 to August 10, 2024, featuring works by artist Gail Stillwell.
The Opening Reception will be Thursday, July 18, and the public is invited to attend free of charge and meet Gail. Owners Nathana Cox and Lisa Curry invite all to see this show and other art at Raw 1899. “Retreat from the summer heat and come see us, refresh and revive!” Nathana urges.
While nature motivates most of Gail’s work, she is also inspired by color.
“I’m influenced by great artists, and I love to try to learn from their techniques and experiences,” says Gail. “I’ve discovered different ways and styles from others, as well. However, experience has taught me that there is no right or wrong way to create art as it is an expression of one’s true self, creativity, desires, and motivation.”
