The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts invites families to Family Day: Botany on May 16, 2026, from 10 AM–2 PM in the Education Studio located in the breezeway at 1 Love Street in San Angelo.
This free community event features hands-on art and science experiences for all ages, exploring the fascinating world of genetics through creativity and play. Guests can enjoy a variety of themed STEAM activities inspired by this month’s family day theme, along with ongoing favorites including 3D model building, coloring stations, and creative play areas designed especially for younger children.
Be sure to stop by the Concho Clay Studio for open drop-in clay activities available throughout the event. No registration is required.
Visitors can also enjoy a free children’s book giveaway in SAMFA’s Grand Hall. Books are generously provided by the San Angelo Adult Literacy Council and anonymous donors.
Family Day is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last. Activities are subject to change, and additional bonus activities may be offered during the event.
