The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts presents the Chamber Music Series featuring Forward Voices by Adelante Winds, Sunday, October 12 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the Grand Hall of the museum.
Join us to experience a vibrant, multicultural woodwind quintet redefining tradition with fresh perspectives and diverse repertoire. Adelante Winds is a “dynamic” chamber ensemble based in Central Texas and focuses on educating and exposing audiences to a diverse range of composers and styles. Adelante, which means forward, is the ensemble’s mantra in exploring new sounds and imaginative ideas for the woodwind quintet. The ensemble aspires to challenge itself and its audience to approach music in innovative ways.
Adelante Winds is Romona Douglas on flute, Clara Blood on oboe, Patrick Dolan on clarinet, Brittany White on French horn, and Sabrina Stovall on bassoon.
Admission is $15 General Admission, $8 Seniors and Military, free to students. Season passes can be purchased for $84. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite and in the SAMFA Gift Shop and include exhibits access on the date of the performance. Light refreshments will be provided.
Following the concert, the ensemble will engage with music students at Angelo State University, presenting a masterclass and teaching lessons.
