San Angelo, Texas: Raw 1899 Gallery, West Texas’ premier art gallery located in historic downtown San Angelo, will feature the works of two artists, Connie Moxham and Milessa Murphy, September 7 to October 7, 2023.
The Opening Champagne Reception will be Thursday, September 7, 4 to 8 p.m., and the public is invited to attend free of charge and meet the artists.
Moxham’s show, “From the Beginning,” will showcase some of her original fabric pieces and her journey combining acrylics and then later transitioning to acrylic only. A self-taught artist, Moxham says she has been “strongly influenced by the Dutch Masters and their amazing use of light.”
Murphy spent her youth in West Texas and now lives in Frisco, Texas. She paints as a modern impressionist, and hallmarks of her work include positive energy, color, and stories. “The best paintings create a story,” she says. “My stories have happy endings.” Her show at Raw 1899 Gallery is titled, “Life: Fitting the Pieces Together 2023.”
