The EnPleinAirTEXAS Ranch Fellowship celebrates the area’s 100-year plein air painting history with an immersive invitational experience for five past EnPleinAirTEXAS Competition Artists in the authentic ranch culture of West Texas. ‘Plein Air’ is a French term for painting out in the open air.

Five nationally award-winning plein air artists will spend 3 weeks living and painting on West Texas ranches in September 2025.

The ‘STAMPEDE’ is an exhibit and sale of their creative works from the ranch stay.

Come meet the Ranch Fellowship Artists!
Kirsten Anderson of Wyoming, Zufar Bikbov of Connecticut, Lon Brauer of Illinois, Durre Waseem of California, and Jeff Williams of Oklahoma will present their plein air and ranch-inspired artwork at a show and sale at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts.

A curated Ranch Fellowship exhibit will be in museum Gallery One, October 23, 2025 to February 8, 2026. Additional works from the Fellowship will be exhibited in the museum’s Grand Hall that evening, as well as Friday & Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunday, 1 to 4 pm.

All works will be for sale and will benefit both the artist and the museum’s children’s education outreach programs.

Selected art students from Lake View and Central High School will spend an ‘Art Day’ painting with the Ranch Fellowship Artists earlier in the week and will have their artwork displayed and for sale in the Grand Hall for the weekend.
