Buffalo Soldier Memorial Weekend activities include the following – July 28-30, 2023
All activities at Memorial site are FREE and open to the public
- Memorial unveiling, Friday, July 28, 2023, at 9 am 717 S. Oakes
- The Grand Opening Gala and Awards Dinner will be held Friday, July 28, 2023, at 7 pm at Fort Concho Stables. Reception begins at 6 pm. (Relaxed Business Wear)
- The activities begin at 9 am and end by 4 pm on Friday and Saturday.
- Friday-Saturday-All activities at the Buffalo Soldier Memorial site are FREE
- Friday-Onsite activities begin immediately following the unveiling and include – guided memorial tours; Fort Concho tours; Buffalo Soldiers Living History Presentations; games at the memorial site; Boy Scout presentations; Girl Scout Presentations; canoeing;
- Saturday- Fishing excursion; VIP Swim Party (memorial guests only); Sewing classes; painting classes; State Park Bison and Longhorn Tour and storytelling, and more! Food vendors will be onsite at the memorial daily from 10 am-4 pm. See all activities at SCHEDULE
